How We Help in Practice
Our practical support to date has centred on Daniel Černý, whose injury was the reason the fund was established and who became its first beneficiary. The examples below show how targeted help can make everyday life more manageable and greater independence possible.
The fund’s purpose is broader, and our work is now expanding to other people and recovery-focused activities.
Making a Home Accessible
When Daniel returned home, part of the flat had to be adapted quickly. The Fund helped finance a temporary wheelchair-accessible bathroom while his long-term needs were still uncertain, leaving the possibility of larger public support for a later permanent reconstruction.

A standard doorway had to be widened. The raised floor and ramp provide wheelchair access and the height needed for the new drainage.
Supporting Rehabilitation at Home
Home rehabilitation often depends on equipment that is only partly covered by insurance or public support. In this case, some equipment was funded through insurance or donations, and the Fund helped cover the remaining cost so regular rehabilitation could continue at home.
A treatment table, exercise frame and other equipment turned an ordinary room into a practical home rehabilitation space.
Sometimes the Solution Is Small

Useful support does not always have to be large or expensive. Sometimes a simple aid can make an everyday activity possible again.
This small hand aid helps Daniel hold a pencil so he can draw again.
Support can also include contributions toward rehabilitation stays, activities organised through rehabilitation centres, and other practical needs as they arise.
